We were looking for a bookcase that wasn't too deep, so we could hide it perfectly behind a corner. A perfect solution.

An open structure
The OPEN bookshelf is a lightweight, symmetrical support structure which, thanks to its regular pattern, brings a sense of calm and rhythm to the room. The grid of slats forms compartments of equal size, with internal dimensions of 20.5 cm in width and 25.5 cm in height. The individual compartments hold the books upright and also allow for customised grouping. We're also happy to realize custom heights of up to a dizzying 338 cm upon request. You'll need a ladder, though.
Blossom up
The vertical slats open outwards from the centre, so that the books are presented to the viewer: OPEN unfolds like a bouquet of flowers. Or like an open book. You can smell the scent and read within.
Material
OPEN reveals its inner workings on its flush outer detailing: eleven cross-laminated layers of birch plywood, visually reminiscent of the iconic Manner biscuit, result in an extremely robust load-carrying structure: the shelf can be fully loaded without any hesitation. The OPEN bookshelf is manufactured locally in Untergroßau and Graz.

Pleasant Surprise
My partner simply ordered OPEN online without ever having seen it in person. I had serious doubts about its practicality, but I must say I am very pleasantly surprised. The wall not only looks good, it invites you to read, is cosy and holds a great many books. Large books are a bit more difficult, but it's manageable. There is still space at the bottom.

A dream come true
I've been dreaming of having this book case for 2 years now. And now it's finally in my wall! I'm very very happy with it :) The delivery was very fast and the bookcase is just like portrayed.

A minimalist shelf also fits well in a less minimalist apartment ;)
The BREUER BONO shelf makes the room much larger and brighter than my bulky, conventional shelf before. I have the model with white coating, which perfectly matches my vibrant furnishings and blends beautifully with the wall color-wise. Assembly is uncomplicated and well explained and quickly done with a drill. I can only warmly recommend it to everyone. We'll definitely have a second small one soon.
